Our Growers

Since our very first days as a cooperative there has been a special and mutually supportive relationship between our growers and what has become today’s SPC Ardmona.

Without our growers we would simply not exist. Likewise, growers in the Goulburn and Murray Valley areas and elsewhere depend on SPC Ardmona for the lion’s share of their business and livelihood.

At a glance

In the Goulburn and Murray Valley areas alone, we rely upon and support 362 suppliers who account for:
• 10,238 hectares
• 648 orchards
• 14,333 blocks
• 7,043,352 trees

The majority of planting is devoted to apples, peaches, pears, nectarines, plums and apricots. Cherries, other citrus fruit, grapes, kiwifruit and other varieties make up the remainder of the Goulburn/Murray Valley crop.

‘Outside’ suppliers, located from Southern Victoria all the way to North Queensland, number between 1 and 150, depending on need, conditions and supply of fruits.
